Help me pick a casual jacket

I was thinking either something from Barbour or the Baracuta Harrington G9 Slim. Just something to wear out to the bar and back now that fall is coming up. Not something like nylon or poly. I want it to be tougher than a windbreaker, so probably cotton. 500 dollars is the limit and any recommendations under are more than welcome. Also something traditional, ivy, etc.
