I'm 21, 5ft11 and 168lbs , ain't worked out a day in my life so I have no muscles at all, my arms are skinny and weak and have a flabby body, I am not some obese motherfukker but I am totally out of shape and my body weight is probably all fat. decided its time to sort this shyt I should be in the best shape of my life.

Where should I start if I want to get fit and turn my fat into muscle? Like I said never worked out a day in my life and would probably struggle with 10 push ups at this moment in time. I have a cycling machine in my place but never used it, is that a good place to start? Looking to get a set of weights also.

I'd rather stay away from the gym just now till I ain't so :flabbynsick:

Any recommendations on what I should start eating mostly? My diet has never been very good I feel like I hardly ever sit down and eat proper meals but I have stopped eating so much bullshyt over the past few weeks.

Any help would be appreciated, don't be too harsh.. :salute:

Start off doing calisthenics bruh that a get you lean then when you master calisthenics somewhat then get into lifting weights.

Far as food to be honest at 168 pounds I would eat anything I can, long as you dont go overboard with the bad foods and stay active you wont get fat bro.

Any other questions just ask

Thanks breh.

Gonna check out some beginners calisthenics programs online to find out where I should start and what to do. Is that just like push ups, chin ups etc?

How long should I be looking at working out each day? Should I just push myself to the limit then have a break and go back to it?

I would say to let go of worrying about people's perception of you in the gym and start there with a beginner lift program.

That's not the only route but it would take you a while to build up to what you likely perceive as not flat top status. If you start cutting weight you won't build muscle or strength doing mainly cardio. If you start doing doing body weight it can do some things but not in a short enough term to take you from what you are staying is no activity.

Just my thoughts.

Thanks for the input, I might look at getting a gym membership soon. I really just want to start the basics and get my fitness up a bit before I go down that route. At this point any progress will be positive in my eyes, I just need to find the will power to stick at it and realise I will not be seeing instant results. That is going to be my main problem.

That's one of the benefits of beginner programs they should have you adding weight on a consistent scheduled basis so you see progress as part of the process.

Good luck :salute:

First off....fukk what anyone else at the gym thinks. You aren't doing it for them.

The calisthenics advice is excellent. It will help you build some core strength and start building a foundation.

If you're going to start lifting, find someone to coach you on form. Either a trainer for a handful of sessions or someone else you trust.

The worst thing you can do is hurt yourself trying to lift too heavy with poor form.

5'11 @ 168 isn't that bad...Even if someone is out of shape. They can still start lifting and doing a little of cardio on the side imo...

h

Word.

Being out of shape and scrawny is a better place to start than being out of shape and obese. Probably....:manny:

Get a gym membership, fukk everybody else. Its only few people putting up serious weight at the gym, most are like yourself. And honestly when I see a flabby nikka come up off some hard work I gotta :salute: him, any real nikka would.
