Someone posted a link while back about "Hanson robotics" in
higher learning.
Well the creator and owner of that company is now teaming up with three
other engineers to try to advance robotics in a positive way.
But they had need help so they started an indie gogo page.

Mark Tilden (one of my heroes
) whom I'm a fan of will be creating the body for their new robot.
He's behind beam robotics and the line of robotics toys that were created
by Wowee, he's the creator of Robosapien as well other consumer robotics, he has also done work for Nasa !
David Hanson has developed really realistic humanoid robots.
And finally Ben Goertzel whose behind a huge AI project called
"OpenCog".
The last dude is someone I don't know much about but
they introduce themselves fairly well in this video
