the old computer is a laptop and the new computer is a desktop
not sure what that is....but my computer says that a network cable is unplugged
and the thing with that is, i used to get the same message with my laptop but I was still able to access the internet
do you have like a cable box for your internet that you can run an ethernet cable to hook it up with your desktop?
Look for settings to turn a wireless connection on, on your desktop. Sounds like you need to just connect with a ethernet cable to get on tho if you don't have a wireless adapter.
Go to Control Panel --> Network and Internet --> Network and Sharing Center. See what it says there.
when I do that I see
internet options
network setup wizard
wireless network setup wizard
network connections
windows firewall
try the setup wizard. the other thing about the USB is in regards to a wireless adapter. I Think you connect the wireless adapter with a USB to your computer and it sets shyt up. if the wireless setup wizard doesn't work then ur gonna have to connect directly with a ethernet cablewhen I do that I see
