How easy is this game to get into for someone like me that rarely goes online and probably doesn't have many friends available to squad up with?

It's always online so there's that. Playing solo kinda sucks honestly. It gets extremely difficult to make any progress without a team

That said, randoms have been filling up my games quickly recently. Within 30 seconds of choosing a mission, a full squad is on my ship. Most people are decent and mean well, a few trolls here and there, but also some cool people who I've connected with.
