That video of him in the studio looking nervous why dudes were punking him around still sticks out to me, he was in there fake smiling and looking nervous as fukk I remember... That was the end of his image with that situation IMO, the you had the other incident later.

If the story I heard is right, he deserved it. Basically they paid him for a verse, he ignored them for months, so to draw him out, they acted like they were another artist asking for a verse and when he showed up, it was them. They pressed him for good reason.
