The legal portion of this is wild. Basically a person will buy enough heirs of a property to where they own 20% which will force the sale of it. This is one of the reasons why we've lost so much in terms of land ownership.

You legit need a lawyer for damn near everything. Whatever you do needs to be so legally tight, if anyone tries anything, the person in question just gets a paper in the mail that says "Nah".
How are folks supposed to even know about "Heir's Property"?
Not to mention Reverse mortgages, which is how my mom lost her home.

Of course Tuggle declined an interview nor provided any statements. When James Steele said, "Well, it used to be" in that southern drawl, that was cold but the way he explained it, it's business at the end of the day. That's 90% of his income per his words. The old saying comes to mind or variations of it, " it's always your own people."
Can't even entirely blame people like Tuggle or Steele when it's your own looking for a quick buck that will be spent in a matter of days, weeks, or months. Couple grand here or there in your pocket, and your relative who has lived on property his whole life now at the age of 72 has to find a new place to live.
