Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt were the couple that everyone loved to hate on MTV's "The Hills." But today, the duo is opening up about how they lost their fortune in only a few short years. In an interview with In Touch magazine, Spencer admitted, "We were immature," He added, "Every time we'd go out to eat, we'd order $4,000 bottles of wine. Heidi was going to the mall and dropping $20,000 to $30,000 a day. We thought we were Jay Z and Beyoncé."
Not only were they spending big bucks at restaurants and stores, but in 2010 Heidi spent an estimated $30,000 on her plastic surgery transformation. And in 2011, the blonde confirmed that she and Spencer were forced to shack up with his parents and that they were considering filing for bankruptcy.
The two are near broke today, and they are heading back to TV with an E! special, "After Shock: Heidi & Spencer," that will dive into their adjustment to a post "Hills" life.
