so ive been making hip hop music for a little over 10 years now. ive got 2 of my boys that i do alot of my music with and i just recently did a solo project. and to be honest, our shyt is pretty legit. now im not saying that to sound cocky or anything like that, im saying it because i actually believe that it is better then alot of hip hop that is out right now. (which if anyone listens to what has come out the last few years, isnt saying much.) ive got one problem though, no one listens to it. my close friends, sure. couple of acquaintances will listen here and there, but i need to figure out a way to REALLY get my music out there. so i come to you, the tunnel, of the Coli for advise. what ya think?

Well ... What kind of hip hop is it...? As in what topics are you covering?
That then, leads to how you can find the audience you are trying to reach.. most things are done online these days as you know.. so you're in the right place.. find other forums, and BLOGS. Find blogs according to the type of hip hop you got going on..Send them your music..relentlessly. Bc these people get ish in their inbox all the time..

Marketing is everything.. is your stuff on Soundcloud? if its not, then PUT IT ON THERE. Thats all people use these days. Biz cards, t shirts..all that. It may not maximize you right away but its one of those slow and steady.

If you have physical copies of your music, drop a few off at record stores, like really these days you have to be outside of the box and even take it back to old school methods since the game is so saturated.

Make sure you got artwork for your songs..like real artwork. Even if its just text, get it done by someone who knows how to do it right.

I could write a book for you but i'll stop it there lol any other Q's i got you.

In reality what I find works the best is by collaborating and working with others with different followings. This can really reach a larger audience quickly.
