well i dont know about the story. but this is one of the comments.

Earlier, the shooter was "jumped" or detained because he was snooping around the other guy's property and the dead man was fearful that something was going to get stolen. So he put him in a head-lock just to scare him off. Later the shooter calls the other guy over, at 4am, and starts shooting right away as you can see.
