Long story short, you probably thought it was all about how it's built but the truth is the interface for HDD is slow and the interface for ssd is fast.
Current HDD won't be able to benefit but newer ones will, and the speeds will be comparable to SSD once they get the new HDD interface out to the masses.
This has to be a cheaper solution or it'll never happen. So expect it to be what you hope it sounds like.
Forget NVMe SSDs, hard drives with support for the interface are on the way
