Hagler wouldn't let him box. I'm sure Hearns didn't want to trade with Hagler like that. But Hagler was mauling him and chasing him down, so he was forced to do so. And it didn't help that Hearns power punches weren't getting to Hagler. His chin was just too strong.

As great as Hearns was, Hagler was just all types of wrong for him. He would beat Hearns 8/10 times
