An Alabama A&M professor was arrested and then terminated after a computer recovered at his home showed him engaging in oral sex with two students on campus, reportsAl.com.

Dr. Edward Jones, 51, was a tenured professor who spent more than 20 years at the HBCU founded in 1870s, and most recently worked as director of the Office of Teacher Education and Certification.

According to court docs, incriminating videos of the acts were found on a school laptop recovered at Jones’ home after Huntsville police and Alabama A&M police executed a search warrant. The videos show Jones twice having oral sex with two different male students in 2011 and 2012. All incidents took place on campus, according to the school.

Jones says the university has been harassing him for years, and filed a 30-page lawsuit against it in February, invoking the Alabama Public Employee Whistleblower Act, reportsAI.com.

The lawsuit is said to outline egregious administrative issues and concerns, including mismanagement of federal and state funds and “charging students for services it did not provide.”

“Dr. Jones’ whistleblower speech and signed statement regarding AAMU’s illegal conduct in charging students for services it did not provide and mismanaging federal and state funds designed to implement teacher certification information management system was met with a retaliatory attempt to terminate him, prosecute him and humiliate and ruin Dr. Jones’ reputation,” the lawsuit stated.

A statement released by the school shows that AAMU plans to vigorously defend itself:

“As is plainly evident by the university’s filings, the university is fully committed to defending its decision to terminate this professor,” it reads. “The inappropriate conduct exhibited by this former faculty member will not be tolerated on this campus. The university is committed to providing an educational environment that is conducive to learning for our faculty, staff and students. In that vein, the university will take whatever steps are necessary to protect the integrity and interests of the institution.”

He whistle blew on the school. The dudes may have been plants.

More to story.

I get that. But to have a search warrant, that meant the police had probable cause of a crime to search dude's home and laptop. Whether it's part of a potential retaliation lawsuit is immaterial to the fact that he was doing some sick shyt and potentially abusing his power and authority.
