I have to get to a point with a beat, then leave it because I'll get sick of it if I spend more than 3-4 hours on it and start adding layers that make me shudder the next day.
I just did this same thing the other night. Took some kick sound I had saved a few months ago, had a few beers and started fukking with it, broke my own neck for 45 minutes went to sleep, popped a quick loop on my itunes and went WTF is THIS??

I started freestylin to this... it aint as bad as u think, i think its dope. def don't throw out the drums n bass... if you added a switch up or too for the melody it'd be good. and if someone rhymes over it u may not even notice

The beat isn't that bad...You just need to decide if you going to leave it as is or add more to it...
It's a solid foundation...
A top tier 90's rapper would of wrecked this beat, so it would be okay to leave it as is...
but today's rappers can't carry such a beat, and would need to add some sonic "drama" to the beat to help a modern day rapper...
All my beats, no matter how corny, sound like CLASSICS at 0200AM to 0300AM in the morning (when my brain is most alert)...But as the day progresses, the really bad ones really start to sound as bas as they are...
