No secondhand, 3rd person tales of the duck need apply here because we all got plenty of those but have you, directly and in the flesh, ever witnessed something that made you question your perception of reality up until then?

There are more things in heaven and Earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy...

Had a shroom experience in the middle of some mountains. After all the wild grass began to sway back and forth like the Fantasia movie, the mountains looked as if something on it’s surface was melting. Then I became able to “hear” non verbally from the mountains themselves and eventually the stars, whose light looked slowed down...the twinkling looked like LEDs on a router or switch.

It felt as if I was plugged in like Neo. Any existential question I’d ever had was immediately answered.

Yes. I was 13/14, in the hospital. My cousin was having back surgery and something went wrong. He was in a coma. There was some kind of fukk up on their part. They gave him a drug when mixed with anesthesia is deadly for his specific neurological disorder. The doctors were apologizing, saying there was a mix up with their lab. My cousin's blood pressure dropped and his heart kept stopping. After a couple hours, they said there was nothing they could do. I was close to tears seeing my cousin like that. Doctors said that he'll be dead soon. Church members, pastor, deacons, and our visiting bishop came by the hospital. It was like 3 a.m.
Everyone got into a circle and started praying. I grew up in the church but truthfully I was agnostic at the time. So, I thought it was the dumbest shyt to do and insulting to give my cousins family false hope. We've been watching him deteriorate and doctors said he's dead, so he's dead. After 10 minutes of nothing but prayer, his heartbeat got stronger. They started having a worship service, prayers, and songs. My cousin came out of his coma about after an hour. I've never seen so much crying, my aunt's face goes from sorrow to joyful. It was hands down the most powerful experience ever. There have been times where I struggled with Christianity but my faith in GOD never waned.

Has your cousin revealed/talked about any of his experience(s) during that time?

Yeah. I told the story in the spooky things/ghost stories thread. We’re definitely ignorant to “reality” and only sense a portion of it.

Hook it up breh. 100 on the ignorance though.

We live in a tiny band of a much larger electromagnetic spectrum and have the nuts to say "this is what it is" when our human sensory equipment takes the limited band we can perceive and steps that down into smaller chunks which are then rearranged to fit a dialogue and expectations that further limit your perception.

I always wondered if we could see waves undetectable by our eyes (like those in the pic you posted) would they appear as solids, liquids or something else? If we could perceive higher dimensions, would the third just be giant balls of strings like a rubber band balls? Are we energy to another dimension and unaware of it? Are our years seconds or meaningless in the next dimension? Is each dimension infinite within itself when observed on increasingly smaller scales?

I’ll post that story when I find it if I don’t get sidetracked.

The Fluid Dynamics of “The Starry Night”: How Vincent Van Gogh’s Masterpiece Explains the Scientific Mysteries of Movement and Light
https://www.nature.com/news/2006/060703/full/news060703-17.html

Van Gogh could see a different "reality" that was more in tune with how it actually is and they labelled him crazy.

“For my part I know nothing with any certainty but the sight of stars makes me dream.”

Vincent Van Gogh

Speaking on these things to people too busy decorating the inside of their personal reality box feels like escape from Flatland sometimes as most people just can't peep game.

Blessed are the "insane" because they are the one that know whats really going on. Plus, like Phil Valentine said, its the mfs that are "outsane" you should be worried about, the ones that are "in sane" know the deal and are cool.

I talked to him about it a couple years after that. He was going through PT and OT to walk again. Dude is a fighter and overcame a lot. So, I asked if he felt people in the hospital praying for him after the doctors gave the death sentence. He said, in a way he did.
He described an alternate dream-like state. He was having a conversation with an old guy: black, grey hair, long dreads, a Moses type beard, and just a cool person. The guy was sitting on the steps outside this mansion. He was having fun, just laughing with the guy. Talking about his hopes and dreams. The guy talked about how one of his sons hates a child he created and left the house, how he had to kick that child out because he and his wife could not follow his rules, how he sent his favorite son to correct his mistakes. And then suddenly, everything started getting really cold, he literally felt everything going numb, he started breathing hard. The old guy invited him into his mansion but warned that once he entered he could not leave. And that's when he started hearing the families voices (mom, dad, siblings, mines and his other cousins, aunt and uncles, and our grandparents). He thanked the old guy and said he's going home now. The old man said bye and that we'll meet up again at the end.

He told me this while crying. I told him, "I can't believe GOD is an old Rasta" :russ:
It was 10 minutes of straight of :laff::laff::laff::laff::laff::laff::laff::laff::laff::laff::laff:

Once when I was at my grandma's house in Belgium I as sleeping in a room I didn't normally sleep in, this is an old creaky house with a huge garden, all kinds of noises at night...anyway in the middle of the night I kind of sense a presence so I turn around and I don't know if I saw it, but I felt a presence in a rocking chair opposite the bed. Nothing scary though, actually felt like whoever it was was looking over me. I told that to an aunt some time later (who grew up in that house) and she said "Yes, I had that once too" :leon:
