When he returned there was all this hype but now that he's teamed up with Rowan he's almost forgettable....like I'm part of watch gang and even I forgot he's still on the roster. His name doesn't even get brought up in any recent discussions about the product either.

He got to main event Mania... held like every belt they have... been featured as a top babyface and top heel... given an onscreen role when he retired... met his wife/mother of his child there... probably made a good chunk of change which probably equates to a WHOLE LOT of money for him cause he's not a materialistic guy...

People judge him from that Yes Movement run, but they don't know that shyt is extremely rare to get going. He will never be as big as that again, but it doesn't mean he's performed bad or been booked bad. Everyone else needs a turn to shine too.

Yeah, and WWE killed it by not capitalizing on his momentum when he came back and making him into just another guy on the roster (turning him heel was just the capper).

Bryan doesn't particularly care because he loves wrestling and I believe this heel turn may have been his idea, but it's kind of sad that we talk about the YES movement in the past tense these days. It was one of the last things on WWE programming that felt truly special.
