Nah they had the public submit things they think Apple invented, then they either debunked or confirmed whether or not its true.

They have every manufacturer trying to copy the look and feel of thier entire lineup, so I guess they did something right
Nothing Apple makes is really the best of anything though. They don't make the best phone, laptop, or mp3 player. I give them the tablet but even that's questionable.
What they do best is market their product extremely well and give it a great look for the general public. They haven't really innovated anything besides some touchscreen gestures that may have been stolen from Mitsubishi.
