Has any game that has been delayed until the next GEN ever succeeded?

I was reading something about this recently but can't find it. But the article was saying any game that was in development hell to the point it gets delayed to a next gen, never pan's out. What games fit this description, and has any of them ever succeeded?

I can only remember Too Human and Doom 3, but it named a bunch more

Unless they are developing the game on something with the next gen specs in the current gen, I don't see it working. If they gotta delay to the next gen when they did the analysis to originally come out in the current gen, they already fukked up. Unless they're releasing Halo, GTA, COD or something.

Can you remember any titles? The article I was looking at had a bunch and it made perfect sense. But I can only remember the two I named.

Kameo was a great game, but could wasn't a commercial success.
And it being ported probably took away from.. I don't know.
Even today most gamers would probably say it didn't look good even tho the visual were actually
Especially for a launch title.

But here's the thing about that game. It looked incredible. So if it gets touched up it will still look great for a ps4 game
Of course it would of been so much better if it was designed from the ground up for ps4. And the addition of 8gb of ram certainly doesn't help ;)
But everyone will love this pathetic version that will probably be ported like GUN for xbox 360 was.

Kameo to me was actually a good game.

I`d say Kameo was probably the only one I could think of.

Too Human is the biggest example of one that failed

Doom 3 was great, but was considered a failure to what ppl expected out of it
There was a long list of games. When I seen them, I knew they were delayed
But for some reason, I can't remember shyt

Too Human is a much better game than your giving credit for. I actually played it recently and it was kind of fun.
I didn't play it long enough to have a real opinion tho so I'll stop the hype right there...
