I love how Bob used to take quotes from Marcus Garvey and Haile Selassie I and make people all over the world quote these great men without even being aware of it :blessed:

That's because every great teacher had to have had a great teacher themselves.
Nothing wrong with that

I didn't mean that there was anything wrong with it. On the contrary, I think it's beautiful that he was able to help spread their message to those that might have been opposed to it coming from Marcus Garvey himself. Marcus Garvey got mad hate from (some) blacks and whites alike during his day. Bob helped bring everyone together while dropping jewels that the generations before him might have missed.

Well deserved. Bob's music still resonates strongly over 3 decades past his death. One of the greatest musicians ever to grace Earth.

Yeah man, my fam is from the islands (Dominica) my dad played Bob's music so much when I was a kid I thought he lived in the house with my fam :heh: I'll admit as a kid I didn't quite understand him, my dad would always praise him, but as a young man, now I know why

:salute: my fam is from Trinidad by way of Guyana and Barbados. Got a couple rastas in my family that put me onto the music as well as the history behind the people Bob spoke of in his music. Helped put it in perspective how great of a man Bob really was.
