Shyt went over a lot of people heads in it's original. Sure Hannibal ate people but it was a really a psychological show at heart, it was acted brilliantly, unlike the yawner that is Clarice.

they did that thru the 1st half of the 1st season to appease NBC but they let them write it how they wanted to, and we got 2.5 seasons of greatness
