HANK LUNDY BLASTS DANNY GARCIA: "I AIN'T LOOKING FOR NO MONEY...I'D BEAT YOUR ASS FOR A FREE CHECK"
By Percy Crawford | August 05, 2014
PC: I'm sure you read what Danny Garcia had to say regarding a fight with you. What are your thoughts?
HL: Yeah, I see what he had to say, and like I told him, I reached out to him on his lil' network. I even had my people go down there to his gym. But you know, I'm the realest in this game. I don't pump fake or nothing, but on that note of him saying I'm just trying to get a check, it ain't even about a check. If I want money, I'll come see you and take it. I just want what's rightfully mine. I'm rated in the WBC #4; step up and fight somebody that's real. This guy he is fighting, nobody never heard of him. Come on, now. Let's be serious. They know this dude ain't relevant. That's why his belt not on the line anymore. This dude is a joke. He is a god damn joke. It's crazy. Im'a give respect, you know...I'm not giving no respect, man. fukk that! I'm on go. When his pop had cancer, you know what I mean, they forget I was the only motherfukker around getting outfits made, and his moms said, "No, I'm gonna charge you less," and I said, "No, charge me the full price. That way, your family can eat," because his pop was down and nobody wasn't making no money. He forget I was pro before him. He forget when he was coming down to these gyms, I was fukking him up and leaving him bloody. Don't forget that because I'm in these streets for real. I'm in the hood for real and he know I whooped that ass and I will do the same thing to him as a pro.
PC: I know people are gonna wonder if you are even actively training while you're talking like this. Are you in the gym training?
HL: You know, I been working with Adrien [Broner] and we putting in work. Robert Easter out here; a lot of guys out here. Action Jackson, you know, and Ricardo Williams, we up here putting in work in camp and we ain't playing, you know. Everybody getting that work in. We all ready to go and fight. Listen man, I'm out here working. I was supposed to fight out in England against Anthony Crolla and we took the fight. My promoter told me about it and next thing I know, they put out a press release saying they didn't want the fight. They accepted the fight and then they found out who the kid was. I'm coming over to your backyard, so why not fight me? You accepted the fight and now you don't wanna fight me? bytch move right there. So we go to the Dierry Jean thing. We supposed to be engaging in a fight in September in Montreal in an eliminator for the WBC title. Like I told them, I'm always ready. I'm always in camp and ready to fight. I'm always on go.
PC: What are you looking for out of Danny Garcia on Saturday night for you to be impressed with him?
HL: Man, look here, he gotta start boxing a lil' bit and get on his jab because that last fight, Im'a keep it 100, ain't no hate in me; when you do good, I congratulate you. When he beat Matthysse, he got congratulated because everybody thought he was gonna lose and he came out and put on a helluva fight. But that last fight he had against Herrera, Herrera got in that ass. He need to show something different; show boxing ability. He needs to show he can still move his head and show some versatility.
PC: I see a lot of people on Twitter saying Philly don't support Philly anymore when they see you and Danny going at it. Are you past that at this point?
HL: I tried to do that Philly support Philly stuff, but at the end of the day, when you got a guy like me, I've been up and down in my career and I fought no ducks. I fought everybody that they put in front of me. I didn't have no silver spoon in my mouth, I made it my way by doing it the hard way. Nobody wasn't behind me with big money. "Hammerin" Hank had to fight his way to the top, so for him to say I'm just fighting for a check, man, I just won a big court case. I'm out here in camp. There is other stuff I do; I'm cool, to be honest. I ain't looking for no money. If it was like that, I'd beat your ass for a free check. That's how real it is with me. He wanna talk stuff, but why your gym was closed? They said your gym would be open at 1:00. We came to see you, homie, and the gym was closed. It's real with me. It ain't no game. Like I tell 'em man, they can get it in or out the ring and that's just how it's gonna go. I ain't no punk, man. He wanna talk all this stuff, I seen him in Vegas. I walked up on him and his homeboy's, Latin Goonies. Get the hell out of here! I walked up on all of 'em. "Ah man, what's up, man? Why you gonna call me out?" This the boxing game, man. At the end of the day, I'm trying to feed my family, you trying to feed your family; I'm up there in the ratings, don't go and fight a bum. I did all this hard work. I want my shot.
PC: So we can expect the return in September?
HL: We talking 'bout September; that's why I'm out here in camp. I'm out here in camp working. J Prince and Jimmy Burchfield from CES Boxing, the person I'm currently signed with, are putting their heads together and seeing if HBO will take this fight and if not, we still trying to get this fight done and go over there on September 13th and whoop some ass.
PC: I appreciate the time as always my man. Keep me in the loop of what you got going on. I like to get both sides of everything, so I'm glad you reached out.
HL: Well, you know, I'm the realest and I'm gonna let you know for a fact. It ain't gonna be one-sided with me. I heard him talking trash and I'm right back to respond and clean it up and he can take it however he want. Like I said, he could get it on the internet or I'll come to his gym. Your daddy ain't gonna do that much talking to me because he know real recognize real. I ain't Karim Mayfield.

This nikka ran UP on Swift and his crew in Vegas and Swift just hit him with a "what's up man? why you gonna call me out?"
He came to his GYM looking for him on his J Prince steeze (who ironically happens to be his manager)
Had Swift leaving the gym bloody and leaking...kept threatning him in the interview with "Im in the streets for real....I aint Karim Mayfield"
