Halloween hands down. Should have ended when Carpenter wanted to pull the plug after part 2, but they ran it into the ground. It's still my favorite horror series overall, regardless. Nightmare On Elm Street is a close second.

Halloween 3 was fine because it did not involve Myers and went the original plan for the Halloween series (different plots, same title sequence)

In any case, Halloween wins, followed by Friday the 13th..........then much lower you'll find Friday the 13th
