Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas

Anybody else get into watching some of these bad Christmas movies Hallmark churns out? Sometime I wonder how they can make so many movies off like the same 5 or 6 tropes. Even Netflix is getting into it now too.

They got Tatyana Ali to star in one I'm watching now. I wonder if she just did it for fun cause the budget has to be shoestring.

They finally figured out that minorities don't have to play the background it seems . That Tatiana Ali movie seems like it has quite a few sizable black celebs in it, and they have another movie with two black leads premiering next week .

Hallmark movies promote cheating with holidays as an excuse. Lets go through your average Hallmark Channel film:

1) Sally and John are dating. 2) Sally heads back to her hometown for the holidays and John stays behind to make some overtime/holiday pay. 3) Sally runs into random bum passing through town or old boyfriend and they do holiday themed activities while flirting. 4) John finally gets off work and arrives, catching her flirting with ol boy. John tries to smooth things out but thot ass Sally isn't having it. 5) Sally leaves John for new dude just bc he likes christmas , John heads back home to jerk off in a hotel room wishing he could get a refund on the trip. The end. . Also they have way too many where they shoehorn in saving a single mother or father .



Lifetime has some Christmas movies as well that are more grounded in reality not so cheesy. Last year I saw one with Blossom (Sheldon's girlfriend on BBT) meeting a model looking dude at the airport, she then proceeds to sabotage his relationship for a good hour before she ends up with him . Also saw one with Tatiana Ali as the owner a mall (Jeffrey from Fresh Prince plays her dad) booting out a lady of a failing toy store, who just happens to be related to her love interest. Lifetime seems to be using their christmas films to push swirler fantasies and faux female empowerment but it is what it is



Another channel called Ion does original Christmas movies. They keep it all they way 2017-2018 , saw part of one last year where the main chick had a gay best friend who was talking about he wish he could find a closeted dude he could turn out
