I thought it was actually really well acted and is an interesting plot. If there was anything wrong with it, it was the cliche' sci-fi stuff. Weird kid, naive scientist to their own technology Since the pilot already aired, I don't consider these spoilers. I thought the thread was funny to read because there was a lot of assumption. First of all, Halle Berry was married to a black man, who was an astronaut that went on similar missions to her. NASA or whomever is running the missions are concerned about Halle Berry because her husband killed himself. Something weird is going on with the types of missions she goes on. Her new husband is the Russian dude from ER. They can't conceive so the husband(robotics builder) builds a robot kid prototype that he's trying to sell to big companies. The companies don't want it, so he works solo and looks for smaller investors. He's crazy about the robot while Halle Berry is skeptical. The kid robot seems to not have compassion and kills some bird and almost beats some kid up over a soccer ball. To top this off, when Halle Berry gets back from her latest mission, she is sick. Turns out she is pregnant. Problems are, she can't conceive and the missions are solo missions. They show a scene during the mission where her husband shows up in the ship. Could be a ghost or some sort of alien, we don't know, but he talks to Halle and touches her stomach. Halle wakes up later and checks the video. It shows her going through the motions of talking and touching thin air. A ghost, and alien or pschycological issues with being alone in space for months. No one knows, but the government knows something is up and is after some other astronaut that warns her to be careful. I think the issues of the show are interesting. Conspiracy in space that could be possible aliens or a psychological issue, her pregnancy and the Asimov like robot issues with this kid towards the outside world vs their family struggle with this kid. This could be a great show or they can screw it up like Under the Dome. I think it will be much better than the direction Under the dome has taken.
