Halle Berry has done a lot in Hollywood. From playing a crackhead who was in love with a crackhead

To playing a daughter of a slave who's father was a slave master

She was the girl who Eddie chose stop being a dog and commit in Boomerang

Love shoulda brought ya ass home last night!
She was Dorothy Dandridge

to playing her share of films that werent that great

But i LOVE BAPs so...
And she was Storm

Placed here because her role was slept on heavy in the franchise.

Anyway, Halle has proven that she is very versatile. And i love that she can do any role (except Catwoman)
Her speech here is so uplifting, how she says its for every black actress who came before her and opened up doors for her. It still brings tears to my eyes. Now we know that after her win came her series of shytty movies, but she hasnt lost her spark. Her work in Frankie & Alice had me on the ledge and everytime i got interrupted i was ready to fight. Lastly, before you a$$holes tell me that her mother is white, yes i know. HOWEVER Halle doesn't play roles when she is a non black woman. (I refuse to acknolwlege Cloud Atlas; that doesnt exist in my mind) But other mixed actresses, with out even half of the clout Halle has stay playing the roles when the are portraying non black women. Thats one thing i can say i truly love about her. Yeah she has two kids by a white man, but her acting is all i care about. She's done all types of roles and had her she share of great roles to trash ones. :salute: Halle.
And i'd still cut off my hair and don the short style like she had in the 90s

:snoop: I been holding off watching "Boomerang" for years.

:whew: At least I now know what movie that quote came from. I always it assumed it was from an early 90's black movie.

Halle Berry, then, and now, is still the baddest woman to me. I'm 27 and I'd wife without hesitation.

In terms of acting, as someone who watched the whole Extant series, she isn't bad per se, I think she just has a way of picking things she shouldn't/can't do.

I'm not quite sure what her lane could/should be, but every actor, even the bad ones, can find a lane if they're willing to be typecast.

I think she tried running from the "sexpot" thing in more recent times (2000's onwards), and she's ended up making a ton of bad choices in the process.

Gothika was my shyt low key

Losing Isaiah was crack too, literally :francis:
Damn shame on me for not mentioning that. She played the hell outta that movie.
