Except when the black woman falls in love with the savage beast and she sees past the beast and looks into his heart. Moral of the story is that there is more to the exterior to fall in love…meanwhile black men has have a perfect exterior for the woman to fall in love

I use to watch a lot of Hong Kong martial arts films, and every big name Asian actress who transitioned to Hollywood always was paired with a white savior/lover.

I don’t think people payed attention to it because of skin contrast, but it’s pretty much a staple in every commercial or movie with Asian, Hispanic, and black women. The first time I really noticed it in our community was when Aaliyah starred in Queen of the damned and was getting smutted out on screen . If you point it out though, the entire conversation usually gets whittled down to, well, you’re just hating, but we all know that this is designed to project superiority



A lot of people who watch these films are just content with seeing a reflection of their own image, so there’s no real discernment on how that image is portrayed, the impact on the collective, or the message that’s being sent

But meanwhile, a black man in real life has to work to be perfect just to get a woman's attention.
