For years Lupe stans have progressively said THE wildest shyt.
I still remember when one of the chief Lupe stans used to come into threads, derail
them and say Lupe was better than Nas. lol.

This thread isn't the first time, I think it's just the first time I've managed to make people notice
these dudes are buggin out.

These dudes was in the Tetsuo album thread calling that album the Supreme Clientele of this generation :russ:

I explained what a quotable was. But to expound on it. It’s a line that everyone knows or can recite because it dope. Not because it’s simplistic or wack or silly or anything like that.
That's not what a quotable is.
Ra’s greatest album is not his most lyrical album. His best album is Paid in Full. That’s arguably the greatest album in hip hop history. He hit his lyrical apex on Let The Rhythm Hit Em.
I'm asking you and @spliz (again) to explain how these albums are lyrically better than Paid In Full. Based on how yall broadly describe lyricism and object to my definition of lyricism I don't see how you can come to that conclusion.

Name the Lupe classic albums.

Name the Lupe quotables.

Name the Lupe classic verses.

Name the notable GOAT list where Lupe is mentioned.

Lupe fiasco will be a footnote in Hip-Hop history that dikk rides white rockers
and wishes he had their musical prowess.
While his successors not only wrote better songs but expanded the sonic palette of Hip-Hop
returning to the crazy layered productions of yesteryear.

Dudes really do not respect this Hip-Hop shyt like they say they do.

Lupe stans strike me as the kinds of people to go on about Sgt. Pepper and Thom yorke or some shyt.
:pachaha:

Real Kid Cudi energy.

I like this, I think we're getting closer to where I wanna be in this discussion. When I tell yall IWW is so much better than Illmatic lyrically nikkaz act like I'm speaking foreign. This is the same argument. What makes Follow the Leader lyrically better than Paid In Full, to you?
@spliz @mobbinfms (Let the Rhythm Hit Em for you)
Seems like yall duckin this :patrice:

You can’t tell when an emcee levels up?
This is why I don’t like using the term lyricist or lyrical because nerds will try to drag you into debates about how many literary devices were utilized in a verse. That’s not how we discussed this shyt in real time in real life. Lyricism is like porn. You know it when you see it (hear it). It’s multifaceted. If you know you know.

Lupe is dumb nice. I respect his pen. But I prefer GZA as a lyricist. GZA can condense his bars that are heavy but easy to digest. When Lupe gets super lyrical you really have to pay attention. Its easy to lose what he's saying. Musically Lupe doesn't have anything fukking with liquid swords. Gotta go with the Wu

Nah this is what people say when they don't want to get pointed out when they switch it up later. Yall provin my point.

There's a reason on Blueprint Jay has a song called "lyrical exercise" where he's flexing with wordplay.

I don’t know what your point is, and I don’t care.
