I don't get why Gucci never became a Superstar. Out of all the artists that came out of Atlanta, he gets the least recognition for his contributions. He is coming up CP3 levels of longevity in the rap game. Been out for over 15 years now and he still is relevant.

This song should should be a hit. Roddy Rich and Dababy can get 1 billion views for their garbage but Gucci can only get 50 Million for this masterpiece?

Gucci writes a dope album with Waka Flocka Flame and it got zero attention. This shyt right here should be the #1 club banger of the 2010's and I never hear it out. Tell me this song don't go hard. Why doesn't the South embrace this at its anthem?

Gucci been going hard since Wilt Chamberlain series anybody saying otherwise exposing themselves
Gucci doesn't get the respect he deserves. He is one of the most influential rappers of this generation. Every single ranking I can find on the internet doesn't rank him high. Why is Travis Scott, 21 Savage, and Macklemore consistently ranked above Gucci when zero rappers of today are looking up to them?

Look at these rankings and tell me with a straight face that Gucci is getting the love he deserves.

He self sabotaged himself before his last prison stint which stunted his marketability.

He's hit his stride musically now but he's kinda aged out now and the new 1017 got derailed because Pooh and Foo gotta sit down for years smh

Musically, he's so much a better rapper overall than back then. He traded that "it" he had for being an actual structured MC now. He did it every now and again back then, but he does it more now

He has 18 gold and platinum albums. He’s been on songs with drake and Mariah Carey. You’re talking like he’s Canibus or K-Rino. You got younger rappers like 21 Savage who idolize him. NBA YB said I feel like Gucci in 06. When he came home from jail it was like a big event. He was interviewed by major radio and news sites. You want to know who is underrated from Atlanta is Hit Man Sammy Sam and Baby D.

He ain't marketable like that at this point and that jail stint messed up his momentum.

Gucci made the best of what he had...

His underdog approach led him to being of the faces of the ATL despite his trials and tribulations.

He even Worked with Mike Will and Zaytoven and they became big stars in their own light.

I'm glad he changed himself for the better though. If Gucci died, Trap Rap would never be the same.

Gucci was releasing albums from jail while some of your favorite rappers would take years off and have us waiting.

Jail kept him relevant plus he capitalized on it by dropping "First Day Out" as soon as he touched down.

Boosie screwed up by not doing that.

On the contrary, Jail saved Gucci Mane like it did to Pimp C.

If Gucci had stayed free, he would have killed someone or someone would have smoked him in the ATL. Dude wasn't in his right mind.

Not sure how he underrated when maybe 5 years ago he stayed getting sucked off by hipster publications and had a family tree of artists that he either A&R’d or directly influenced.

He got his respect as an Atlanta hip-hop legend.
