Take-Two has patented new locomotive technology in order to ensure Grand Theft Auto 6 has "highly dynamic and realistic animations".

That's according to u/Tobbelobben30, who and noted that the name Tobias Kleanthous was "mentioned in the [GTA 6] leaks". After a little sleuthing, Tobbelobben discovered that Kleanthous worked at Rockstar between 2014 and late 2021, during which he specialised in AI/gameplay and animation.

Interestingly, Kleanthous is also the lead inventor and author of a patent called System and Method for Virtual Character Locomotion, which they describe on their LinkedIn profile as "regarding animated locomotion control based on some of the core technology" they "architected and implemented at Rockstar Games".

"They've built a library of small building blocks for character movements. These blocks can be combined in various ways to create a wide range of animations.

Yeah but it’s money in the bank already.

No need to kill the cash cow now.

Wait a few more years when there are more ps5 and Xbox x consoles in homes then release gta 6.

Their might be more pressure to release a new game if gta 5 wasn’t making money.

i been told people to brace for dissapoitnment and expect nothing more.

ain't shyt to anticipate when they are locking day one content behind the sub pay wall on the 10 year old game

nothing about shyt like that tells you that the next game is about pleasing gamers

they nerf the heists and claim it's to promote people playing other content when it is because cayo heist was the best way to generate in game money without shytty grinding for peanuts.

they are punishing people for still playing a ten year old game without falling into their micro transactions

there's absolutely nothing good coming next. don't want to see people making a big fuss later. the time to steer the course of the next version away from it's greedy trajectory was now not later. haven't touched the game since they introduced + just on principle.

I would have been day one for the next one but now I know I will just be watching the fallout when it drops. it is absolutely going to be a shyt show.
