Said before they need to base the game on dead presidents. Have it a double game disks. First disk is in Vietnam during the war.

The player returns to the states (second disk) and starts hustling in the streets and moves up to a big criminal.

Game would be epic.

Nice idea but this is basically what Mafia 2 done, apart from it was WW2 instead of Vietnam.

I just want a bigger Vice City with a fictional Fort Lauderdale added on, set in the 80s, RDR2s seriousness, believability and none of V's wacky action movie antics. Pretty much a love child of Vice City, RDR2 and IV.

This is the one thing I hope GTA VI has. One of the worst attributes of GTA V was the OTT humour that was constantly forced upon us. It was like they wanted the game to fall under some sort of comedy genre.

I get it, GTA games have always had that humour aspect, even RDR2 had this to a certain degree. But in GTA V it was way too much, didn't even feel like a Grand Theft Auto game at times.

Felt very Saints Row-y at times.

Also people forget GTA 5 technically did have multiple cities. Chumash(Malibu), Davis(Compton) and Del Perro(Santa Monica) though all three were greatly reduced in size so much that they were seen as separate cities. So maybe we can see other Dade-county cities or Broward county cities.

If Chicago wasn't so similar to New York and had better topography :to:

I still think you can do Carcer City and make it central to a wider rust-belt, Midwest, GTA.

Carcer City = Chicago/Detroit/Cleveland

then sprinkle in some prarielands in between, a couple BIG ASS lakes and some smaller towns/cities in-between. I think it could work. Lots of boats/water, to account for the lack of mountains. Hell, you could throw the UP of Michigan in there if you wanted mountains in there too.

The front lines of the culture war in the midwest. Trump's America vs city elite. post-industrial, post-pandemic Midwest.

I mean most people would say Vice City is the most likely location for GTA 6 but it's also quite an obvious thing for them to do and if I've learnt anything over the years about Rockstar it's that they can be fairly unpredictable. I mean most people thought GTA V was gonna be set in Vice City but they went with LS/LA instead.

Having said that I wouldn't at all be surprised if they hit us with a new city thats never been used before and Carcer City could indeed be that city. Yeah it's been used in Manhunt but it's still in the same universe as GTA because it's been mentioned on the radio in past games. I personally would love for them to do that and as you say base it around a collection of midwestern rust-belt cities - I think if they did this and again as you say include all the smaller towns, lakes, rivers and rural areas in between, while also setting the game across multiple time periods, then GTA 6 could potentially be one of the best games of the series.

I just feel Miami has been done to death across many different forms of mainstream media, it just cliched and doesn't interest me anymore. I've always said since GTA V they need to start bringing in new locations to the series to keep things interesting because recycling the same cities over and over is just gonna make the series go stale, which some would say it already is.
