V was not that serious at all. If anything it was too overly comical.
GTAIV's problem wasn't realism. It was lack of content and how the game clashed with the realism. Characters like Brucie were silly AF and stuff like Pißßwasser stuck out like a sore thumb. RDR did the serious sim vibe perfectly and took the fundamentals of GTAIV and made it better. People aren't against realistic GTA. People are against GTA with Jack shyt to do.Nobody wants that GTA4 realism bs. They tried and y’all said saints row 2 was better. 5 was the perfect mix between realistic and arcadey. Leave that realistic shyt for red dead lol.
I popped in RDR2 because GTAVI hype and it gets much better. Thank God.
