ITS THE RETURN
Despite most folk feeling like Capcom has abandoned this game, that couldn't be further from the truth. This is actually one of the most balanced seasons of the game yet.
THEREFORE, FOOT ON NECK SEASON WILL COMMENCE
We are going to run this Season/ Tournament in a similar fashion to how Season 3 ran. There's alot of information to cover, so please read through the proceedings and rules carefully.
Pool Play -> Round Robin -> Final Tournament
Phase 1: Pool Play:
- - We have 16 Entrants so we are going to have 4 pools of 4.
- - Each player must play everyone in their pool once.
- - These matches will be first to 3 Wins sets.
- - After all matches have been completed, the top 3 players of each pool will advance to the Round Robin phase (top 12).
- - If there are any ties at the conclusion of Pool Play between 2 qualified combatants, then this will be decided with a head-to-head FT3W with the combatants who are currently tied.
Phase 2: Round Robin:
- - The 12 combatants who qualified for Round Robin phase will be required to play the other 11 combatants.
- - These matches will be first to 5 Wins sets.
- - The combatants with the top 6 records from the Round Robin will qualify for the Final Tournament phase, with the top 2 seeds getting a first round bye.
- - If there are any tied records between 2 qualified combatants, then the tiebreakers will be decided in a head-to-head FT5W bout between said combatants.
Phase 3: Final Tournament:
- - Double elimination 6-man tournament, that will have the top 6 combatants seeded based off their Round Robin Record.
- - Top 2 seeds will have first round Bye and play the winner of the preceding match in their bracket between the lower seeds.
- - These matches will be also be first to 5 Wins sets.
- - The winner of the Tournament Phase will be awarded The Champion Banner under their name and receive The Grand Prize of any game of their choice on their preferred console (PS4 or Steam, $60 limit).
- - The Runner up will receive the consolation prize of a $10 gift card for their preferred console (PS4 or Steam).
GENERAL RULES:
- If players do not play the required # of games based on whichever phase they are in, then both players will be required to replay the set, if players are unable to replay the set then both players will be given a Tie.
- Characters are locked between games, so pick a main on your Fighter Profile and stick with it.
- ALL matches must be recorded and uploaded to YouTube via the PS4 share option (or a suitable recording option that's available if you're on PC.) The participants should decide before the set begins who's going to record and upload the matches to ensure there's no confusion afterwards. This is required to ensure that the matches did take place and allow the other participants to analyze/spectate your matches. (NOTE: Live streaming of matches is encouraged however not required.)
- ALL matches should be scheduled and setup in the Official Season Thread, this is to serve as a proof of record that all participants made an effort to complete their matches.
- If a player no-shows on an agreed arrangement, then they will have 2 more times to make it happen with the opponent they stood up previously. If they fail to make the matchup after 2 more attempts that then they will just take an L in that matchup.
- All No-Shows will receive an instant loss for matches they do not complete by the declared deadline.
- For the brehs who have a hard time keeping up with the thread, I will have the mods put it under the Games & Leagues section so you can find the thread easily even if it falls off the first page.
- Any discrepancies or issues please feel free to address them here. Nothing's set in stone and I'm always open to improve the process.

GROUP STAGE:
The results of all the required matches will be due 6/2/19 by Midnight.
This give everyone 2 weeks to get their 3 matches done. Hopefully brehs dont make this more difficult than it needs to be.
