It's been a while since we've heard anything about Warner Bros.' planned Green Lantern Corps movie, but now it looks like the studio is finally making progress, as a couple of writers have come aboard...

According to Deadline, we finally have some movement on Warner Bros. planned Green Lantern reboot, which will be titled Green Lantern Corps. The trade reports that both David Goyer and Justin Rhodes have been hired to pen the script for the movie, which is apparently still working off that rumored "Lethal Weapon in space" premise we heard about a while back.In addition, it looks like both John Stewart and Hal Jordan have been confirmed top feature as the ring-slinging duo.

Goyer will also produce the project along with DC heads Geoff Johns and Jon Berg. Green Lantern Corps doesn't currently have a release date, but we'll keep you updated on that.

it could go terribly good or terribly wrong with two green lanterns, however all i sense is confusion in the crowd of moviegoers opening night :patrice:

Goyer shouldn't be involved at all.
Would it be too hard to just create the first GL movie as a international remake of training day, with Sinestro being in the Alonzo role and Hal sort of being in the role of Jake.
I mean legit that is what you can work and stretch the first movie as. No need and no emotional payoff in playing sinestro's betrayal up since he has been a known evil intity for so long now, just play up how much he does actually care about his home planet, in a completely and fukked up way and move from there. Hell they can even add the seeds for the sinestro corps war and Lantern corp wars in the mix, with an introduction of the alpha lanterns saving the day in the end.
