Everyone loves it when beloved faces turn heel. The most famous and most shocking being Hulk Hogan going to hollywood. Others include Bret Hart in 97 and good old Sgt Slaughter turning his back on America.

But what were instances of a hated heel becoming a super over beloved face? Lets see Lex Luger going from the narcissist to Captain America when he slammed yoko. Cm Punk and his speech last year, I'm not sure how macho man turned face but that must have been epic back in 85...

any others?

All the obvious ones are too obvious so I'll go with something recent.

When Punk went heel against Hardy. When he nailed that dude with the mic and proceeded to fukk HIM UP I legit marked out.

I'm kinda blanking on these turns but is it me or pulling off a good heel->face turn harder than vice versa? :ohhh:

Hogan should be at the top of the list here. And Bret's and SCSA double heel and face turn was the epitome of great storytelling. I wonder who wrote that angle out there or if they did it themselves.
