A Song of Fire and Ice.

The length of time between books is just getting too long. The writer is almost 73 and it will have taken over a decade between the last book and the next one. Even hunkered down in a pandemic for the better part of a year he didn't finish the book. Collaborators have said they won't touch this if he can't finish it.

Hunter X Hunter.

Always wanted to get into this but the writer's health just hasn't held up and at the going rate it's just gonna be unfinished unless he hands the art duties to someone else which he refuses to do.

Isn't the Berserk series in this same predicament exactly?

One piece looks like it won't end to me
part of that is due to mutiple things
OP has alot of stories, content to cover, plus Oda is very imaginative and likes to draw alot of stuff and may include stuff in the series that just ends up adding more content and story

but he keeps saying its near its endgame

which it is BUT Oda kinda implied there will be even more story after Luffy finds the One piece (which we all knew that there will be, like a final war) that may make the series longer.

so the series def has 6-8/9 more years left. And given all the factors, how oda has inaccurate planing, adds alot of stuff, etc. OP prolly will end in the 2030s:pachaha:
