FORZA been pushin Gran Turismo shyt back for a minute,
none of the PS3 Gran Turismo's hit like the PS1 counterparts.

GT2 is the best Gran Turismo period:

GT2 had 500+ cars...i remember when GT3 A-Spec dropped and only had 150.

GT3 had nikkas starting off with a PT Cruiser in career mode i threw that shyt in the closet.

GT1&2...u cop a used AE86 or Mark III Supra and get it poppin immediately.

TOM'S SUPRA made life too easy

GT seems a better car collecting game if you're interested in the trim variants in a model. Silvia K's, Q's, Aero, Type-R, Nismo :picard:? From '89-'05? They got you covered. But I felt the overall racing in Forza was better. Handling not necessarily realistic but at least you didn't feel like you're driving on ice. I think GT Mode in GT4 was better than the career or world tour mode in any of the Forzas I played. fukk all them licensing tests, but the rest I enjoyed. GT sound design, outside of soundtrack and menu sounds, is garbage.

I don’t think Forza was really considered legit competition until FM4 and Forza Horizon. FM5 was kind of a dud, but after FH2 and FM6 dropped, Forza has been in a league of its own quality-wise. Hopefully GT7 ends up being good because GT has been on some bullshyt for the past decade

GT is still a console seller , especially in Europe. :yeshrug:
Dont think Forza has reached that status yet.
Because GT stays on an extended release cycle. Nobody eagerly anticipates Forza anymore. You know it's coming each year :skip:. I wish they would do more than focus on graphical improvements but that's another discussion/rant.

like others have said one GT dropping is gonna sell more than anything Forza puts out. It's def a system seller outside of the states.

GT Sport did 8 million for fukks sakes and that shyt is stting at a 75 metacritic :francis:

That's why Sony lets the creator have so much leeway even though he's 10 years behind on embracing the online aspect. :yeshrug:

this is true.

EA actually had the licenses to use most the exotics (BMW, Porsche, Rarri, Lamb, etc) for the Need for Speed games

Gran Turismo made it's name having every trim level of NSX, 3000GT, Supra, Skyline and obscure stuff like the LM and JGTC cup cars.

GT4 is arguably the peak, but GT2 is something I hold dear for a variety of reasons. 5 and 6 were kinda shyt though.

I feel that Forza 4 and 6 were about the best ones in terms of competition, but the other releases were ho-hum. 7 is garbage, an I don't like the Horizon series too much. Glad I bought 6 before it got delisted.
