I'm getting my FASFA and W2 ready to get a check so I can be accepted into college for my 15 point equivalency into the marines.
I went to work under a guy as an apprentice electrician last year and I didn't sign a W4. All I got were checks, no signed papers or anything. Of what I know. I have a bad memory. So the question I have pertains to whether or not I should say that I actually had income or not last year. The way I see it, if I say no and get the check but they found out somehow I had income without a contract, the boss I was working for could be charged with tax evasion.
Yet if I say yes and tell them I didn't sign anything, the boss I was working for will be charged with tax evasion. Since he wasn't paying income tax on me.
My best choice would be no, but I'm wondering if I say no if I'll be tied into it and get charged too.
The fukk do I do?
