I'm getting my FASFA and W2 ready to get a check so I can be accepted into college for my 15 point equivalency into the marines.

I went to work under a guy as an apprentice electrician last year and I didn't sign a W4. All I got were checks, no signed papers or anything. Of what I know. I have a bad memory. So the question I have pertains to whether or not I should say that I actually had income or not last year. The way I see it, if I say no and get the check but they found out somehow I had income without a contract, the boss I was working for could be charged with tax evasion.

Yet if I say yes and tell them I didn't sign anything, the boss I was working for will be charged with tax evasion. Since he wasn't paying income tax on me.

My best choice would be no, but I'm wondering if I say no if I'll be tied into it and get charged too.

The fukk do I do?:lupe:

So as an apprentice you were making 2400 a week :skip:

When you're workin 7 to 7 on hotels, the boss has to bid how long it's gonna take, how much money he's gonna make. $50,000 a hotel, split between the boss and the co-worker and me. So yeah.

I didn't bank any checks I just cashed them things in $4600 every 2 weeks so I'm good on that. Still wondering, can they pull up what I spent on that year though and get me?

That's why drug dealers don't pay taxes. It's the beauty of cash. :blessed:

As long as dude didn't have your social, the IRS won't know. Especially since you say you cashed them all. IRS is a bytch though when you act as a sole proprietor. It's just different because instead of them taking money out of your check and then giving you a refund, you get all your paper up front but then gotta pay up at the end of the fiscal.

Right now I do some advisory work for a company that pays me like a vendor. No taxes but it's tied to my Tax ID number.

I would check with buddy though because $4600 is a lot to move with no paper trail. How was he recording this in his books?

Not sure.He was closed off most of the time. He disliked me, so I just quit cause I told myself I'm not gonna work under a boss like that.

Preciate the info, b.
