The culture between big-name, big-budget directors I'm sure isn't some zero-sum game where they measure peens and bullshyt. They all get paid, they all get regular work.
That said, if I were J.J. Abrams, Christopher Nolan, Justin Lin, Michael Bay or any of them cats right now, I'd be like
regarding my own past and maybe future work in the sci-fi, action and adventure genres. Miller laid definitive smackdown on all them with FURY ROAD. How da fukk you even supposed to be impressed with anything after seeing something like what Miller did?
