Then you haven't really been paying attention.

Riley has built this team 3 times through free agency and trades. The 90s teams with Zo, Tim, Mash, etc..

He did draft Wade (lottery) and signed UD. Then he brought in Shaq, Glove, Zo, etc..

You know what happened from 2010-2014 and the picks they gave up.

He has always sacrificed picks.
THis is what im saying @T.O.N.Y 2Chainz

He has never cared about picks and he's too old to learn new tricks and change. He's doing what he knows. Going about it the only way that has worked for him before. Free agency and trades

This is a decent move for Miami but they are no closer to a title with Dragic. But I would like to see that starting lineup get some games together with everyone healthy and on the floor. I think by next year they can be a 50 win team with this squad but they wont win a title with a Wade who is breaking down rapidly and Bosh who is getting older and suffering from nagging injuries to that comes after 12 years of playing in the NBA. But at least they are relevant and have put themselves in a position to contend in the East.

Heat got a SICK squad when theyre healthy

One of the best starting lineups in the league

Ray allen might wanna come back
Health is a major concern. Mc Roberts out for the year. Wade has missed almost 20 games. Deng has banged up. Bosh who is usually healthy had missed a few games. Whiteside has miss his share if games too. Thus years been rough

Rental or not..two first round picks is a lot for a guard getting ready to turn 30. Not convinced he puts Miami ahead of any of the top 4 teams in the East either

No it isn't. Miami is banking on Whiteside staying good + Bosh/Deng. Where do you think those picks are landing and in what year? Even being modest and assuming Miami was getting 15th and worse picks in the draft that means they would have to A.) Draft players as good as Dragic and B.) Have them "that" good within years of Bosh/Wade still being good too. This trade is pretty much a textbook example of getting value out of first rounders: Get a good player, drop bad players, and still have a $2.6 million exception to sign another player for the playoffs. Two first rounders that may not ever be as good as Dragic is a lot to give up for a 28 year old? :camby:

Also stop acting like Dragic is 35. He's 28. He isn't old. Miami's biggest issue would be having him at 20 mil per for 5 years in the 4th and 5th years of his deal.
