First off, I don't think the words 'doodle' and 'hip-hop' should be in the same sentence, unless we're talking about Doodle Bug from the Digable Planets.
That said, Google's doodle today is an homage to the graffiti aesthetics of the early years of hip-hop in honor of the 44th birthday of hip-hop. According to wikipedia "On 11 August 1973, DJ Kool Herc was a disc jockey and emcee at a party in the recreation room at Sedgwick Avenue." where he mixed breaks back and forth to set the trend for the cultural revolution that came to be known as hip-hop.

You click it, and it lets you play with the fader on a digital turntable. You can mess with the BPMs, and you can do a little bit of scratching (not really). First break is Biggie's "Big Poppa". You can dig in virtual crates and play around, making your own beats. They've got Skull Snaps and stuff in there. Pretty dope, kinda cool, kinda weird.
