If you're recording off a lap top (ain't no shame in that breh) you can get you a decent usb microphone off of amazon.com for around $30-$50.

Nah i need something i could connect to a preamp then my computer for some decent music quality..

For $100 you can get a snowball mic..they have different ones..they're mostly for dictation..like podcasts..but rappers like Del and a few others use them to record raps..




But later on you're gonna wanna spend a few hundred dollars on a AKG mic..

Save up the money. You can get the AT 4040 for $150 one of the best mics out there and affordable as well. I know you said for around 30-50 but there is really nothing in that range that would do you justice for great recording. At least nothing that i've used or seen on the market.

for around 60 or 70 you can get a mxl 990 or 770. i recorded a lot on those and have examples if you want
