You provided me with data for the regular season when I am talking specifically about the Lakers/Wolves game.

Letting the Wolves shoot 27 wide open threes in the playoffs is not good, it's that simple. Most teams these offs have a couple of tight defensive possessions, and those possessions can be significant key possessions. I don't know why you would say there are of no significance in it just because of the regular season data.

Teams Shooting Dashboard Closest Defender | Stats| Stats | NBA.com

I don't expect Very Tight defense to be something because that can easily lead to fouls, so that is to be expected.

The main issue is the shots being wide open, and Lakers gave up the largest amount out of attempts any playoff team so far. If you think that amount of wide open shots is normal in a game, idk what to tell you :yeshrug:

Tight and/or Very Tight contest of 3s isn't a thing

Teams are avg 5 contests of that type per game

You gotta understand the data. And understand when the data is being used to manipulate a narrative

You're asking for a defensive philosophy that cannot be achieved in this era of spacing.

Very tight 3s contest for game 1s
Tight 3s contest for game 1s
