can someone please recommend a good running app? I’m fukking sick of this Nike run app.

It eats up my battery almost to a point where I think the app is broken. I can start off with 100%, & after a few minutes of using it my battery will be down to 63%. It also makes my phone turn off when I’m using it once my battery life hits below 40%.

When I try to turn it back on, somehow the battery life is at 10%, and it will continue to turn itself on & off until I get home and put it on the charger.

Any good recommendations?

No Whammies!!
I like the Strava app for the tracking features. Last year I got into a stretch where I was getting into setting low hanging Strava Course Records, and its fun to see yourself on top of a leaderboard. (Until some REAL athlete comes along and knocks you off :mjcry:).

But, now I'm thinking about it, my experience with it doesn't exactly match what you are asking. I have a Polar watch, which automatically tracks running distances in its own app and syncs with Strava...AFTER the run. But I've never actually tried to run Strava in real time, so I have no idea what it would do to my battery usage.

I heard Strava is good .

I ran using Nike + for years until I got a garmin watch. Love it. I got tired of running with my phone and the spotty GPS .

I have the fenix 3 in case you're wondering. The forerunner is good if you like listening to music.

Un related with the Nike Run app but I'd highly suggest getting a battery replacement from Apple. They're offering a replacement for $29 up until Dec 31st, 2018 then it's back to $49. I got an appointment with them for tomorrow.
