Such a classic Bond and action film. Definitely resurrected the entire Bond franchise and spawned a top 5 video game of all time!

I'm mad overwhelmed by the entirety of the four flicks, only feeling Skyfall as a true champ. Spectre was disappointing, Quantum of Solace was terrible, and Casino Royale might have only been piff if I saw it when it dropped. MGM really wanted to Bourne up Bond so desperately, and ended up with shyt I can't barely fukk with.
Not that Brosnan's run after Goldeneye was any better, tho

Outside of from Russia with love that's probably the best bond movie And Goldeneyes cold open is incredible. I love the movie but I don't think it ever quite hits that high again.

He was a great pick for Bond after his Remington Steele days and this being his first flick really had you hopeful. But yeah the movies started to get worse and worse during his run.
He says goldeneye is the only one he remembers. His feelings mirror my own
Watching it out of order fukked any chance of me appreciating it, I think. Eva Green helpedWhoa whoa. You don't like casino royale???
And Goldeneyes cold open is incredible. I love the movie but I don't think it ever quite hits that high again.
