as far as I see it, this is his opponent. They're not throwing Danny at him yet, you can't sell the Alexander fight at all, and Broner is obviously not fighting him. Whether it's today, tomorrow, next month or so...this is pretty much going to happen. If the Guerrero fight was made this will be made.
I agree, he would have to look amazing against a name opponent in order to get a shot at Floyd.
All of the promotion of Floyd's fights are based on GBP hyping up the opponent enough that the public gets fooled into thinking he is "The One" that will end Mayweather's dominance.

This is a horrible fight if they do make it happen. Its actually a huge waste of time for Floyd and I would definitely expect him to knock Amir Khan out. Wont be wasting money ordering this.

I'm not sure why GBP would put him in against Guerrero? Unless Guerrero's been busy living high off the hog since his big payday, he should eventually break Amir Khan and put him out of his misery once and for all.
Guerrero is a game opponent who earned a lot of fans with his determination vs Floyd, Khan needs a solid opponent to make a Mayweather fight sellable
Alexander is exactly a solid opponent he's a good one long resume, but he can also chose to run and be a snoozer further ruining Khan's stock for a Mayweather match, either this or Khan team is on drugs and thinks that Guerrero is a easier touch
