i agreeVast needs to stop billing himself as Can Ox. Mad disrespectful imo
Despite what you may have heard, Vordul was always doper
i agree
what i sense about canox is that vast aire's ego holds them back. i dont think el-p ever made them 'great' but he had the sense as a producer to know how to mold the sound, vast doesnt understand this. vordul does. i get the impression that vast is the 'loud' one and vordul just kinda goes along with it. its a shame because they have a very unique sound and could've put out amazing records if vast hadn't spent all his time suing the label for snack cake money
so many of those 'backpack' guys are underrated. mr lif especially, i dont care if it makes me corny, i love that dude.Megagraphitti is a massively underrated album, big props to Billy Woods for putting it together
All he has to do is be billed "Vast Aire of Cannibal Ox". Just saying Cannibal Ox is misleading people. As someone who has a partner in crime on that vordul time, which is in and out, based on tbeir mental health. i get what vast is doing and i get why fans dont like him labeling it can ox. I too just got excited for new vordul and then nope.
At same time, Can ox is bothbof theirs but if vordul dont wanna rap no more then im not mad if vast tries to open it up and use the name as its still his too. The can ox brand coulda been big but vast makes small moves that hurt it.
yea vast seems weird. Saw people allude he sued def jux into dissolving and spent all the money on bs.
The vordul to billy woods lineage is understate. revolution of young havocs, the reaversMegagraphitti is a massively underrated album, big props to Billy Woods for putting it together
Lif is/was dope conceptually, he just has a less than desirable voice to some. That era is most creative era. But c rayz… we dont talk about himso many of those 'backpack' guys are underrated. mr lif especially, i dont care if it makes me corny, i love that dude.
what makes me sad now is how c rayz walz came out. i never expected that from that dude.
