When I was in New Orleans I seen the Mami Wata fertility figurine at the NOMA. And I always wanted to do my version of her. Also I love pregnant women and the concept of a King so great and so powerful that Goddesses carry his child.

Yep. I added thick impasto medium to the acrylic and then used a palette knife and glopped it on top of the painted Afro and then when it dried I added black oil stick and green oil stick.
