Abell 1689 is a galaxy cluster in the constellation Virgo nearly 2.2 billion light years away. It is one of the biggest and most massive galaxy clusters known and acts as a gravitational lens, distorting the images of galaxies that lie behind it.[4] It has the largest system of gravitational arcs ever found.[5]

There is evidence of merging and gases in excess of 100 million degrees.[5] The massive gravitational nature of this system has been used to study dark matter and the effects of gravitational lensing.[6]

:lupe: are those cyclone looking things galaxies?

yeah.

The set of galaxies in the center is bending the light from the galaxies behind it

so you can see the background galaxies seem out of focus and see massive circular arcs of light

Its interesting how the galactic clusters get tighter and tighter as you look closer to the center of the image. Looks like a vortex.

What happens when they turn the camera the other direction though. The universe is visual from all angles. I hope we're in the only demonic solar system, friends. Looks like Jubillee just waved her hands out there.

Yeah the set of galaxies in the center is the heavy bunch of galaxies that's distorting the image

it's hard to explain but basically if the image was like a puddle of water it looks like you just dropped a drop of water in the middle
