im a big fan of the books and even i could admit season 2 had its problems...it felt rushed at times, but i can only blame hbo for not giving them 13 episode seasons...i think things wouldve played out just as well as the second book with a 13 episode season...thank god their splitting the third book into season 3/4 (20 episodes)...that book is just epic in every way possible
