I think Sunny Suljic the kid who voices the game Atreus should play the live-action version too. He has some good films under his belt Killing of a Scared Deer and Mid 90's.

They would be smart to make this animated instead, pump money into it and get the current voice of Kratos to voice.
If they're going to do this they need to start from the very beginning back before kratos was even involved with ares.
If they're just trying to crash grab the current generation god of war with his son and everything that's going to feel really cheap narratively.
Regardless I'm not really concerned considering God of war is already goated and acknowledged by gamers. No matter how bad the show is it's not going to take away from that. Also properly translating kratos to live action seems like an impossible task.
